Wignalls 2000 Shiraz – April 03

Plummy violet perfumed soap that is common in a number of WA Shiraz, chocolate, a hint of white pepper with an undercurrent of menthol and very subtle eucalyptus.

A fairly soft easy drinking crowd pleasing mid weight wine but there are some dusty tannins evident which hold it together. The white pepper chocolate and plum come out on the plate. A well made, fault free, food friendly bistro wine with both sweet and savoury nuances which is bound to be enjoyed by those that like an easy drinking style wine.
