Warrenmang 2000 Black Puma –
April 03
A soft nose showing obvious high class French Oak, and
although it’s initially closed, it does show white pepper, hints of plums and
some sweeter black fruit with menthol on the tail.
The palate is a complete surprise, unusual for a wine to be
so different from the palate to the nose. Full bodied creamy tannins and zingy
acid indicates that this wine needs a bit of time to mature and it will be
better for it. Taste is dominated by light milk chocolate and menthol with
subdued plum.
