Parwan Estate Pelican’s Roost
2001 Shiraz – April 03
Wine tasted blind
Subdued nose showing a very unusual sweet spicy earthy
chocolate notes and menthol.
A fault free mid weight wine with unobtrusive tannins,
that’s well balanced. It shows slightly sweet and slightly spicy almost plummy
chocolate that finishes with reasonable length and there is nothing offensive about
the wine. The acid balances the sweetness on the plate. Rated as Agreeable.
