Houghton Rockwall 2001 Cabernet
Sauvignon – April 03
Wine tasted blind
Nose is dominated by multiple green aromas but there is some
sweet fruit lurking underneath.
Mid weight intensity, the wine is well balanced with
slightly creamy but still powder tannins, the wine is fault free and doesn’t
have any jarring influences. Flavours of sweet blackcurrant black olives and
mint dominate the palate. It can easily be drunk now and would go well with
many foods. Rated as Acceptable.
