Galli Estate Cabernet Blend –
April 03
Wine tasted blind
Burnt oak character over dark fruit and mint
A young wine showing slightly powder tannins, refreshing
acid and reasonable fruit weight it needs time to come together and show its
best.
Finish is long and flavour intensity is good but the
flavours stops half way on the palate. The burnt charcoal characters dominate
the cassis, mint and green olive flavours but some chocolate and other subtle
flavours come out on the tail.
Rated as Acceptable, the wine is a blend of Cabernet
Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, it’s from Sunbury Victoria.
